The second edition of the Salinity Magazine is out, and available through the link above.
The second edition of the Salinity Magazine has zoomed in on the salinization of groundwater. This is a growing threat in various parts of the world, not least because of climate change and sea level rise, affecting the availability of water resources for drinking water and food production purposes in water scarce regions. The magazine includes introductory sections, background articles, interviews and timeline with key international developments regarding salinity issues. It would not have been possible to publish this magazine without the valuable support of partners in the Saline Water & Food Systems partnership.
The magazine was launched and disseminated in parallel during a full week of international water and food events:
• 12-16 October, Cairo Water Week – Egypt (led by IGRAC)
• 14-16 October, World Food Forum and Rome Water Dialogue – Italy (led by NWP)
• 16 October, World Food Day, Den Haag – the Netherlands (led by NFP)
Download and share the publication with your networks, and let us know if you would like to share feedback or questions.
To be added: picture collage of handovers during the three events.
