Goals of this innovation mission

• Gain insight into the growth of the Kenyan livestock sector, innovative developments and challenges of the sector;
• Gain insight into government policies around sustainability of the livestock sector;
• Understanding the innovation and startup ecosystem;
• Link Dutch innovative knowledge and technology to local partners and market opportunities in the Kenyan livestock sector;
• Explore trends and opportunities for (public-private) cooperation between knowledge institutions and companies in research and development.

Programme

The mission programme is still under development.

Main features:

• Informational seminar(s) and technical briefings by experts.
• Visits to small-scale, large-scale (innovative) companies in animal feed production
• Visits to knowledge institutions engaged in developments in the livestock sector and focused on innovation.
• Networking events and receptions with government, industry and sector organizations.
