FINAS 2026: Masterclass on Financing Food Systems (side session)
July 01, 2026
15:10 - 17:00 (Africa/Nairobi)
Event by FINAS
From 30 June to 2 July 2026, the FINAS Conference brings together finance professionals, investors and policymakers in Nairobi to explore sustainable agriculture and food systems finance across Africa. As part of the conference programme, the Netherlands Food Partnership (NFP) is organising a networking session on food systems finance in Kenya.
This session is organised by NFP, which facilitates the Community of Practice (CoP) Food Systems Finance Kenya, with the involvement of Wageningen University & Research (WUR). It centres on the Food Systems Finance e-course, now in its second edition, which has supported over 100 Kenyan finance professionals in integrating food systems thinking into their work.
Rather than a classroom format, the session is built around peer exchange. Alumni and current participants share how they have applied lessons from the course in practice, what has worked, and where they have run into real-world constraints. Their reflections feed into a facilitated exchange with the wider audience on themes relevant to food systems finance in Kenya, to be shaped further together with participants in the lead-up to the session.
The session is open to anyone attending FINAS with an interest in food systems finance, whether you are new to the topic or already working at the intersection of finance and agriculture in Kenya.
