Who are the 1st cohort of the Food System Finance e-course 2025 ?

528 people applied to participate in the 1st edition of the e-course Food System Finance. As the e-course is tailored to professionals from the public sector and the private financial sector, a selection was made to accommodate professionals from the (de)central public sector, the private and blended financial sector. A few exceptions were made for other types of entities which play a brokering or knowledge dissemination role regarding food system finance. This resulted in 240 participants in the first cohort. Below an overview of the geographical diversity of the 1st cohort. 

The majority of participants are professionals of Private Financial Institutions; 33.2%. The second largest group of participants are professionals from National governments; 18,5%. Closely followed by the 3rd and 4th group of professionals from NGO's and International Governmental Institutions of 18,1% and 16.8% respectively.

The final two analyses below show that the majority of participants is male (64%). And when looking at the age of the participants, 65% of them is 35 years or older.
