SBSTTA - 28 Science and Technology advice

The SBSTTA 28, established under Article 25 of the Convention on Biological Diversity, is an open-ended intergovernmental scientific advisory body that provides timely advice to the Conference of the Parties (COP) and its subsidiary bodies on the implementation of the Convention.

Bringing together multidisciplinary government experts, the meeting will assess the status of biodiversity, review measures taken under the Convention, and respond to key questions from the COP. Building on previous sessions, SBSTTA continues to play a key role in informing decision-making, having produced hundreds of recommendations to support global biodiversity action.
