E-course FST series: Food what ? Looking for food sovereignty in Barbados

Here is another contribution from a e-course participant. "Food What?" is a documentary film by Cloé Fortin, a participant in the e-course 2022 edition. While doing the e-course, Cloé was studying the food system of Barbados, a fertile Caribbean island that is highly dependent on food imports. The trailer of the film explains the historical and contemporary reasons that make agriculture an unpopular career for many. After the Barbados premiere (Sept. 2023) and screenings in the US, Trinidad and Canada (Oct-Nov 2023), both the feature film (70 mins.) and short version (40 mins.) of the documentary will be available online. The film presents the various drivers that explain the current situation, and is based on interviews with over 30 local stakeholders, who share how they work to transform the food system in Barbados.
