Taking action for nature
The 17th meeting of the Conference of the Parties (COP17) to the Convention on Biological Diversity (CBD) will take place from 19 to 30 October 2026 in Yerevan, Armenia. During the conference, Parties will undertake the first global review of collective progress in implementing the Kunming–Montreal Global Biodiversity Framework (KMGBF).
Building on the success of COP16, we are pleased to welcome you back to the Netherlands Pavilion – a platform for knowledge exchange, co-creation, and collaboration between governments, businesses, knowledge institutions, NGOs, and international stakeholders. The programme of the Netherlands Pavilion will be coordinated by the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries, Food Security and Nature, the Ministry of Infrastructure and Water Management, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Partners for Water.
Proposals to host a session at the NL Pavilion can be submitted until August 14th.
Proposed sessions should address one or more of the following focus themes:
- Mobilising finance for biodiversity
- Monitoring, review, and follow-up actions on the global review
- The nexus of biodiversity, climate, food systems, and/or water
- Mainstreaming biodiversity
- Nature-based Solutions
