Updates ahead of the upcoming Conferences of the Parties to the United Nations Convention on Biological Diversity (CBD), United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC), and the United Nations Convention to Combat Desertification (UNCCD)
The session will discuss the central role of agrifood systems in addressing the interconnected challenges of food security, nutrition, climate change, biodiversity loss, and land degradation, while highlighting FAO’s support to Members in turning COP commitments into action.
The briefing will also illustrate the importance of coherent policies and investments in achieving food security and nutrition and contributing to global commitments, including National Biodiversity Strategies and Action Plans (NBSAPs), Nationally Determined Contributions (NDCs), and Land Degradation Neutrality (LDN) Targets.
