______________
Following our online session on April 16th (find the report here), this session aims to explore how Dutch policy on food and nutrition security in low- and middle income countries can strategically align with Dutch interests in trade and security & stability. We invite you to bring your insights and practical experiences to the table. The starting point will be to look at interventions and needs in Food and Nutrition Security in the following countries: Ethiopia, Kenya, Uganda, Nigeria, Ghana, Egypt, Mali and Tunisia. This selection is based on the interests and preferences indicated by participants at registration and of both ministries. The event will be in English, in a World Café format with thematic discussions at country-specific tables. The session will be followed by networking drinks.
Goals of the session:
Priority recommendations for the Dutch Multi-Annual Country Strategies 2026–2029 and overall food security policy
Trade-offs and opportunities within these nexuses
Effective interventions and good 'Diamond' practices
Opportunities for long-term collaboration and policy coherence
