Event by RVO
Are you active in agri-food, horticulture, water or logistics? And would you like to explore your market opportunities in Vietnam? Then take part in the economic mission to Vietnam. This mission is led by ministers and business mission leader Ingrid Thijssen (chairman of VNO-NCW).
This economic mission will take place at the same time as the state visit of His Majesty King Willem-Alexander and Her Majesty Queen Máxima to Vietnam.
The mission will start jointly in the capital Hanoi. We will also visit the commercial centre Ho Chi Minh City. We may add a third location to the programme.
For whom?
This economic mission is open to Dutch companies and knowledge institutions active in agri-food, horticulture, water or logistics. In particular, we also invite female entrepreneurs to participate.We also invite Dutch companies based in Vietnam with sustainable products, solutions and services to apply and participate in a sector programme.
The companies can network and explore their opportunities in Vietnam. Participants get in touch with potential business partners and/or clients.
Market opportunities in agri-food & horticulture
Vietnam and the Netherlands have long cooperated in agriculture. For the Vietnamese economy, the agriculture sector is important. The sector faces climate problems and competition from other countries. There are also too few well-trained workers and the sector really needs to become more sustainable.Vietnam sees the Netherlands as a trusted and important partner, such as for sustainable agriculture. There are increasing opportunities for Dutch companies and knowledge and educational institutions. Moreover, both countries are delta countries and also both have good gateways for international trade. For instance, the Netherlands is the main gateway for agricultural products from Vietnam.
Programme
We offer participants a tailor-made programme. In broad terms, the programme consists of the following components:informative seminars;
company and/or site visits
networking events;
trade receptions;
individual matchmaking;
local support provided by the organisation;
local transport (linked to the mission programme).
During the mission, you will gain knowledge about the latest trends and developments in agri-food, horticulture, water and logistics in Vietnam. You will meet key Vietnamese business partners.
The programme starts on Monday 18 March with a joint kick-off meeting for all mission participants in Hanoi. The mission ends on Thursday 21 March in Ho Chi Minh City. A detailed programme is not known at this time.
