Get a headstart in addressing food systems challenges
The food systems approach is increasingly being used to understand how food is produced and consumed, with an optimal outcome for human health, social justice, economic endeavour and the preservation of planetary resources. Since the Food Systems Summit of the UN in September 2021, it has become central to policy and practice of many international development and research organisations, multilateral organisations and in programs and policies aiming at improving Food and Nutrition Security. This e-course may also help you prepare for the the 1st Food Systems Stocktake in 2023.
Details of the course
The duration of the e-course covers five weeks with four modules, between February 10 and March 17. The plenary sessions have key-note speakers and facilitated discussions. You will receive a WUR-certificate after completing all modules of the course.

The reasons that motivate me to take this course are the following: This course will allow me to have more knowledge on food and nutrition systems and how to manage them optimally. As a project in agriculture, this course will allow me to contribute to help vulnerable populations, youth and women in rural Benin to improve their food system and nutrition. Finally, this course allows me to contribute to the development of sustainable food policy in Benin.
