Multi-stakeholder collaboration for food systems…

UNDP , UNEP, FAO, Netherlands Food Partnership, Foresight4Food Initiative, Global Alliance for Improved Nutrition (GAIN) have partnered up for a side-event at the UN Food Systems Summit +2 Stocktaking Moment, in Rome. The event will focus on sharing good practices and country experiences in operationalising cross-sectoral and multi-stakeholder collaboration for sustainable food systems transformation.

Representatives from Africa, Asia, and Europe will discuss fostering collaboration between stakeholders in the development, refinement, and implementation of national pathways and related policies. Panellists will bring hands-on experiences in multi-stakeholder initiatives to discuss how national governments and partners can strengthen inclusive governance mechanisms that support sustainable food systems transformation.

The side event will share best practices and encourage countries to critically assess their governance arrangements and reflect about their preparedness for a multi-stakeholder approach in the context of the design and implementation of the national pathways. It also aims at creating new connections between countries, regions, and other stakeholders within the global ecosystem of support focused on expertise and tools with multi-stakeholder partnerships.
